We are seeking an innovative, analytically driven, Network Operations Lead to plan, coordinate, and direct all daily operational activities for Cornerstone Building Brands. The role will provide direction and solutions that enhance mission-critical operations. This role requires a highly driven, self-managed individual who proactively seeks solutions to problems and provides direction which enhances mission-critical operations for the Technology Infrastructure department. The candidate must possess significant experience managing resources remotely, collaborating with third parties to maintain operational stability, and driving automation to streamline operational tasks. Operational excellence and continuous improvement are at the heart of this position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Operational Leadership:
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct daily operational activities for the Technology Infrastructure department
  • Act as an escalation point for all critical issues and provide comprehensive and timely reporting to stakeholders
  • Oversee incident management processes to ensure timely resolution, prioritize work, and remove roadblocks to meet and exceed SLAs
  • Change management champion to ensure all production activities have approved changes with thorough documentation (resources, implementation and back out plans, Go/No Go decision criteria etc.)
  • Ensure proactive monitoring and support of all network solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions
Problem-Solving and Proactive Management:
  • Drive technology adoption across the organization for all technology and business-related programs
  • Identify challenges, provide solutions, and implement measures to enhance operational efficiency
    • Drive and report capacity planning and forecasting for all network solutions
    • Ownership of all network licensing and hardware support management
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards and management tools to monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement
Resource Management:
  • Effectively manage resources remotely, ensuring optimal performance and productivity
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the network operations team
Third-Party Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners to maintain operational stability
  • Manage relationships and contracts to ensure effective and reliable services
Automation and Streamlining:
  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline operational tasks and improve overall efficiency
Operational Excellence:
  • Establish and maintain a culture of operational excellence within the team
  • Implement best practices and standards to ensure high-quality service delivery
Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the Technology Infrastructure department
  • Regularly assess processes and workflows, identifying areas for optimization
  • Develop and maintain respective technology roadmaps
Performance Metrics and Reporting:
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of operational activities
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on operational performance
Training and Development:
  • Provide training and development opportunities for the team to enhance their skills and capabilities
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
Compliance and Security:
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the integrity of network operations
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant degree highly desired
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead cross-functional teams
    • 10+ years of relevant network hands-on experience in a mission-critical environment
    • 5+ years of relevant team lead experience within the Technology/Infrastructure space
  • Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, ITIL Foundation/Expert, SDN/Network Virtualization, Zero Trust (Zscaler) and other industry certifications preferred
  • Subject matter expertise with Meraki and Fortinet equipment
  • Demonstrated experience with Network Automation solutions
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a high-pressure environment
  • Demonstrated experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) process development
  • Demonstrated experience in Network Managed Services and Network Cloud
  • Demonstrated experience in managing vendor relationships and partner support
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives/projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Provide energy and inspiration and passion

  • Ability to understand end-user needs and user experience

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000 - $140,000 + 10% Annual Bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
