Position: Network Real Estate Specialist
Location: Irvine, CA or Hidden Ridge, Irving, TX. (Hybrid)
30 Month Contract


Description:
  • Should be 2-3 days in the office and the rest at home.
  • Manager open to Irvine, CA or Hidden Ridge, Irving, TX.
Responsibilities:
  • Review Environmental Due Diligence:
    • Phase Is and Phase IIs to identify non-compliance with ASTM 1527-05 and CERCLA regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with company policy and ASTM standards for proposed facilities.
    • Ensure compliance with the innocent landowner defense under CERCLA regulations.
  • Handling and Disposal of Hazardous Materials:
    • Contaminated groundwater, soil, asbestos, lead, and Irvine, CA or Hidden Ridge, Irving, TX..
    • Compliance with waste regulations (RCRA) and worker health and safety.
    Daily Responsibilities:
    • Scheduling, coordinating, and completing projects related to environmental due diligence and hazardous materials handling under time/deadline pressure.
    Detailed Duties:
    • Review environmental due diligence to identify non-compliance with ASTM and CERCLA regulations.
    • Maintain the environmental database and document due diligence results.
    • Ensure compliance with the innocent landowners defense under CERCLA regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal wetland regulations.
    • Work with Environmental Counsel to obtain all appropriate environmental permits.
    • Coordinate compliance activities to maintain permits and certificates.
    • Assist in the review and implementation of materials management plans and health and safety plans.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA's Lead standard (1910.1025) and Asbestos standard (1910.1001).
    • Work with HQ and counsel to order Phase II reports and take actions to reduce environmental liability.
    • Maintain communication with counsel, regions, and government.
    • Conduct environmental training sessions for the Real Estate teams as needed.
    • Ensure environmental due diligence documentation is posted to database systems.
    • Track environmental due diligence statistics.
    • Maintain and track EES processes.
    • Assist HQ and Operations on the bi-monthly environmental, health, and safety conference call.
    Qualifications:
    • Environmental Science Degree REQUIRED.
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in Environmental Project Management REQUIRED.
    • Project Management Professional Certification desired.
    • Proven ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels from team members to executive management.
    • Proven ability to negotiate and motivate others.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivation, leadership, and team orientation
    • Demonstrates analytic, technical, and organizational skills.
