Title: Network Security Analyst II (ISSO)
Contract Duration: 12 mo. with high potential to extend
Work Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM CST. Monday through Friday except State holidays.
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite 2 times a week)
Work involves reviewing, evaluating, and communicating secure configuration baselines according to agency processes. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
DUTIES

• Uses established benchmarks such as CIS, DISA STIG, etc. to determine risks to the clients systems for non-compliant controls.
• Supports the implementation of computer system security plans with agency personnel and outside vendors.
• Documents non-compliance with agency standard configurations and communicates risk to key stakeholders.
• Assists with refining processes and procedures for accomplishing established workflows.
• Research device and system component documentation for best practices for management.
• Document findings against information systems and assist owners with development of remediation plans .
• Performs related work as assigned.

WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Minimum Years Skills/Experience

• 4-7 Knowledge of common information security management frameworks such as the NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS), and Texas Information Security Standards
• 4-7 Knowledge of common security benchmarks such as DISA STIG, CIS, SANS, etc.

PREFERRED Optional Years Skills/Experience

• Experience working with critical timelines.
• Experience bridging the technology gap for owners and custodians
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Fluent in the English language.
