A financial firm is looking for aNetwork Segmentation Engineer to join their team in New York, NY.

Compensation: $150-175k
Hybrid Schedule: Onsite Tues, Wed, Thurs

Responsibilities:
  • Architect, develop, deploy, and managenetwork segmentation solution
  • Workwith other engineering and application development teams to drive alignment on network segmentation requirements
  • Analyze and troubleshoot escalated issues and train and provide technical training to Tier I & II Technicians
  • Work with the Networking Engineering and Operations teams on the architecture, deployment and management of the global network segmentation strategy, providing input on security architecture
  • Help in the configuration and management of network security platforms such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, DDoS, etc. to ensure that they are up-to-date and configured to industry best practices
  • Work with other IT teams to ensure secure integration of cloud services, AWS, Azure, GCP, implementing network segmentation security controls
  • Conduct risk assessments of applications to identify network security vulnerabilities and recommend remediation plans
  • Develop documentation and train peers on network segmentation best practices and policies
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, related field, or equivalent industry work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in network security as an engineer or architect
  • In-depth knowledge of network segmentation, including micro segmentation and zero trust architecture with tools such as Illumio, Guardicore, Zero Networks, NSX-T, Cisco ACI, Client Stealth, etc.
  • Experience with network security architectures and products, including firewalls (Palo Alto Networks), intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and SIEM (Splunk) platforms
  • Experience with Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) architectures
  • Ability to analyze network traffic, identify security threats, propose effective solutions and apply vision and direction
  • Flexibility for 24/7 on call rotation as needed
