New York, New York

Employer: Intuit
Industry: Engineering
Salary: Competitive
Job type: Full-Time

Intuit is a global technology platform that helps consumers and small businesses to overcome their most important financial challenges. Serving more than 100 million customers worldwide with TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Intuit Mailchimp is a leading marketing platform for small businesses. We empower millions of customers around the world to build their brands and grow their companies with a suite of marketing automation, multi channel campaigns, CRM, and analytics tools.

Segmentation is a critical feature at Mailchimp because it gives our users a centralized experience where they can build and maintain a digital relationship with their customers. We have exciting plans for 2024 and are looking for a Senior engineer with focus on Data to help us achieve them. You can expect to own the implementation of our technical roadmap, empower other engineers, and design our best practices. You will collaborate with teams throughout the company and represent our group in cross-departmental projects.

We value learning, collaboration and clarity. You'll find success here if you enjoy writing code, but you're aware that your job isn't only about shipping: you are a welcoming contributor who knows how to communicate with your team in order to build great software. You prefer using proven technologies to solve interesting new problems.

You've broken production environments-and then buckled down, fixed them and maybe you held a blameless post-mortem about it!

Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally to understand how customers use their Audience in the workflows, ideate solutions for recurring problems, and implement features to empower our customers with the understanding of their users behavior.
  • Design, plan and support the modernization of the segmentation infrastructure as we move into a cloud first environment and cloud-based data warehouse.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues that arise within segmentation, leveraging your technical expertise and analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain and improve our operational excellence practices, including monitoring, alerting and automation to ensure reliability and performance of segmentation services.
  • Collaborate within your team, providing guidance to more junior team members on technical best practices, and participate in planning, work sizing and implementation code reviews.
