Network Specialist /Technical Project Manager - High Speed Internet Access Systems (HSIA)

Purpose: To handle High-Speed Internet Access System upgrade projects related to multiple hotels. You will be responsible for working with various hotel technical and operations teams, service providers, and partners through the projects and achieving all the deliverables set in the scope. The Technical Project Manager will also be responsible for communicating with all stakeholders throughout the project initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure.

  • 5 days/week onsite in Downtown Chicago, IL
  • 6-month contract with possible extension and/or conversion
Responsibilities:
  • Creates, manages, and executes project plans to support the ongoing needs of the HSIA Systems product platform.
  • Coordinates resources, establish deadlines, and assigns responsibilities.
  • Tracks the progress of projects and compiles status reports for senior management.
  • Builds working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects.
  • Relies on knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals.
  • Significant ingenuity and flexibility are expected.
  • Studies new technologies related to the project to be able to deliver the project requirements.
  • Actions technical decisions or tasks towards project implementation.
  • Provides training sessions when necessary.
  • RFQ reviews and assists the hotels with the decision-making process and quote selection related to HSIA network upgrades.
  • Attends break-fix calls and assists with advice and expertise if needed.
  • Assist with developing/reviewing technical standards related to HSIA systems and testing and approving equipment for use on Hyatt Hotels guest networks.
  • Participate in New HSIA providers' certification process.
  • Conducts and manages regular meetings with stakeholders and partners.

Experience & Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Project Life Cycle.
  • Extensive Technical IT/Networking knowledge is a must.
  • CompTIA Network+ or CCNA is a plus
  • Knowledge/experience with CommScope/Ruckus, Aruba, and Cisco networking products is required.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to maintain pleasant working relationships.

Preferred Skills: 5 years of experience in IT and Networking.

Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in IT and 5 years of relevant IT experience in Networking.
