GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

Provide patient care according to the philosophy and standards of Massachusetts General Hospital and PM&R Associates. Supporting 1-2 inpatient services at Spaulding Charlestown. Clinical area is stroke and traumatic brain injury. Execute and evaluate treatment techniques within the scope of an Advance Practice Provider (APP) to assess and manage the program population; demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills in all aspects of medical and patient assessment, care and treatment. Use appropriate clinical skills to integrate and implement the clinical management process with the plan of care. Function as a clinical resource for the patient, consistently providing direction and support to ensure a focus in the team goals and patient driven outcomes. Function within role expectations, delegate duties to other caregivers as required. Serve as a resource to members of the care team and office staff.

Qualifications

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, and/or REGISTRATIONS (if applicable):

Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an advance practice provider, either as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant

Current certification in ANP/FNP or PA

ACLS preferred

EDUCATION:

Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assisting required

EXPERIENCE:

Preferred 3 years of direct patient care experience in an advanced practice level with at least one year being in an acute setting
