Aspirus Health begins Registered Nurse Internships three times throughout the calendar year at ALL Aspirus hospital locations in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.

Nurse Intern Program

Aspirus Iron River Hospital is excited to invite student nurses to apply and gain hands-on experience by working one-on-one with an experienced nurse during the 10-week programs .

DATES:

Summer Cohort - Starts in June

Fall Cohort - Starts in August

Spring Cohort - Starts in December

WHO QUALIFIES :
ADN students who have completed at least 2 semesters and BSN students who have completed at least 3 years of the nursing program by the start of the internship.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• 1:1 experience working with an RN.
• Opportunities to enhance nursing skills.
• Increase understanding of nursing processes.
• Build critical thinking skills.

HOURS :

• 10-week paid internship, flexible, occasional status.
• You may work up to 36 hours per week as your school schedule permits.

THE PROCESS : Following your application, you will hear from one of our Nursing-focused Talent Delivery Partners. We will conduct a telephone interview to discuss your areas of interest.

Aspirus Iron River Hospital & Clinics is one of four hospitals in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the Aspirus family.

With 300+ employees, Aspirus Iron River Hospital and Clinics serves people through a 25-bed hospital, physician clinics, dialysis center, rehab fitness center, ambulance service, and home care and hospice. The outpatient part of this practice is located in a stand-alone clinic. This allows the provider to work independently yet have the specialist support and financial security from the entire Aspirus health care system. The critical access hospital has an average daily census of 9-10 patients.

The hospital and clinics provide numerous services and has up to date technology, including 64 slice CT and a mobile MRI. The medical staff includes family practitioners, internal medicine, general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, radiologist, emergency medicine physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants. Visiting medical staff includes ophthalmologist, oncologist, cardiologist, ENT, podiatrist, and nephrologist.
