Department Overview
The Occupational Therapy department evaluates and treats children with a range of diagnoses such as autism/PDD, Down syndrome, and feeding disorders to name a few. They also treat children who may have difficulties with daily activities, physical development of motor skills, and visual and perceptual abilities. They identify and train children and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment to promote independence and work with a number of interdisciplinary clinics to develop a specialized treatment plan for the child.
Position Summary
Responsible for the evaluation and provision of occupational therapy services to children; the accompanying written documentation and verbal communication needed to administer care including provider orders; provides patient/family/caregivers, staff, and student training; provides a safe, clean environment; provides proper care for departmental equipment; manages time effectively and promotes patient/family, provider, and intradepartmental satisfaction. All of the positions' duties are performed within Children's MN Standards of Behavior.
This is a float position, to work in inpatient care, as well as in outpatient clinical care across the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree from an accredited occupational therapy program. Minnesota state licensure. Temporary Minnesota state licensure accepted if accompanied by proof of passing occupational therapy board examination. BLS certification. Pediatric experience preferred.

The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs.
