Department Overview

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services department has locations on the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. They provide comprehensive evaluation and rehabilitation management services relating to congenital or acquired conditions that may lead to physical cognitive impairment. Patients receive help to achieve or regain functional potential in areas such as mobility, communication, and self-care. All care is coordinated with the patients primary care provider.

Position Summary

Responsible for the evaluation and provision of occupational therapy services to children; the accompanying written documentation and verbal communication needed to administer care including provider orders; provides patient/family/caregivers, staff, and student training; provides a safe, clean environment; provides proper care for departmental equipment; manages time effectively and promotes patient/family, provider, and intradepartmental satisfaction. All of the positions' duties are performed within Children's MN Standards of Behavior.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree from an accredited occupational therapy program. Minnesota state licensure. Temporary Minnesota state licensure accepted if accompanied by proof of passing occupational therapy board examination. BLS certification. Pediatric experience preferred.

The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Children's Minnesota.

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, and compliance with the U.S. Government Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. Children's Minnesota requires proof of COVID-19 vaccine, and as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), immunity to vaccine preventable infectious diseases, prior to employment.
