The Assembler is skilled and adept in the use of small hand tools, doing required wiring, joining together parts and sub-assemblies of checkouts, product tables, metal counters, and all assembled products, present and future, into the final completed assembly. Also operates power tools to cut fiberboard parts, notch molding, cut to length, etc. Checks and tests sub-assemblies and units. Works from drawings and specifications. Skilled at fitting and adjusting component parts and assemblies. Can use necessary measuring instruments and gauges. Responsible for quality workmanship and dimensional accuracy of assigned work. Must be physically able to handle assembling as needed. Requires little supervision.
