It is understood that many jobs require more or less material handling. However, where an employee works practically full-time at material handling only, the following classifications can be applied: Must be experienced in handling all types of lifts used in his/her department and must be safety minded and handle his/her lift and material in a safe and careful manner. Has complete knowledge of the location, routing and placement of all materials. He/she must set up materials for jobs and keeps machines supplied. Can operate machines and other jobs in his/her department as work load requires. Must be physically able to handle materials, carts and equipment as required. Requires little supervision.
