Position Description
Maintain TIMS (Terminal Inventory Management System) system, including backup and database maintenance, integration and writing reports as required
• Maintain Phone System,including additional / removal of voice mail, moving of extensions and serve as laison between facility and outside vendors
• Maintain Digital/Analog radios and assignments, including recalibrating and inventory of batteries and troubleshooting
• Provide Local Desktop and server support to all facility staff as required
• Maintain video cameras and DVRs, including downlowding videos from DVR to provide record of incidents, etc.
• Wirte permits as reuqired
• in charge of the Maritime Security for the Terminal. Deals with outside agencies like the Coast Guard / FBI / Homeland Security to ensure we are in compliance with all the requirements since we deal with foreign flagged vessels
• Assist with Training,including traiing ofemployees, visitors and contractors, as required
• Assist electricians with regards to PLC software and computers required to maintain our facility
• Maintain incident report spreadsheet and distribute and directed
• Compile weekly call notes for SQE calls.
• Develop f new documents to assist with work flows and information gathering.
• Special Projects as needed.
• Other duties as required and assigned..
Position Requirements
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: 1 - 3 years in a similar position
CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS, LICENSES:
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearances required by the company
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Must be competent in Microsoft (Office, Word and Excel)
• Must have previous computer programming experience
• Must be able to communicate, verbally and in writing, in English
• Must demonstrate basic math skills with the ability to perform basic math computations
• Must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to complete projects with minimum direct supervision
• Must be able to accept direction / supervision and work cooperatively wth other people
• Must be able to interpret directions and/or instructions
• Must be committed to total customer satisfaction, both internally and externally
• Must be able to work with others, take direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details and follow work rules
• Successful candidate subject to background check and pre-employment and random drug screens
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be capable of sitting / standing for extended periods of time
• Must be capable of occasional lifting and carrying of up to 25 lbs.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; frequently required to talk or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be willing and able to work all days (weekdays, week nights and weekends)
• Exposure to dust and noise occasionally as work is completed in a terminal enviornment
• Fast paced environment; deadline oriented
• This position may be subject to frequent interruptions
• Successful candidate subject to successful completion of background check and pre-employment and random drug screens
