Senior Operations Finance Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As Operations Finance Analyst in Mebane, NC, you will lead and coordinate finance improvement projects across multiple plants. Additionally, this role will take a large part in acting as liaison between finance and various stakeholders as part of operational improvement projects. Expected to provide financial and controlling expertise to the organization by compiling and analyzing metrics, and recommending actions to improve financial performance of North American Electrification Distribution Solutions business line. This role will need to be able to work onsite (#LI-Onsite) in Mebane, NC and travel around 10% of time to be able to support other ABB manufacturing facilities and projects. You will be mainly accountable for: - Performing analyses of business and proposes improvement actions. Additionally, performing benchmarking of key performance indicators and driving the overall harmonization and standardization of cost accounting practices across operations. Act as Finance point of contact for cross-factory initiatives covering policy implementation, product industrialization, and/or functional process improvements. - Supporting relevant organizational financial reporting activities. Pushing accuracy and validity of financial information one level down, by identifying root causes for variances and slippages throughout cash conversion cycle (from tendering to cash collection). - Providing information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations. - Improving processes and controls within own area of responsibility. Maintaining proper audit trail and documentation to ensure process resilience and successful change management.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of accounting experience, preferably in a factory environment
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, preferably including SAP Torque, and Microsoft Office software applications
  • Experienced working cross-functionally
  • Up to 10% travel will be required.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
