The position serves to support the Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia and Administrator with the financial management and oversight of all TJUH assigned accounts and TJU academic and research activities. Serves as a liaison to the Chairman and Administrator. Responsible to provide leadership and direction to ensure adherence to the Department's strategic plan.
  • Maintains fully operational physical plant to include proper heating, air conditioning, plumbing, office equipment on 9 th floor Sheriden and 8 th floor suites in Gibbon
  • Administer and coordinate the infrastructure related to the operating the department.
  • Responsible for ordering, utilization and simple repair of departmental computer hardware and software; coordinate with Jeff IT on more complex problems
  • Maintains departmental website; handle all telecommunication
  • Maintain stocks of common-use supply items within the department; verify receipt of all purchases for department; manages infrastructure repairs, coordinating with TJU maintenance department.
  • Coordinates facility renovations and new construction projects.
  • Responsible for ordering supplies on departmental P-Card.
  • Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment with consideration of the goals of the Department of Anesthesia and its faculty and CRNAs.
  • Oversees the Admin support for recruitment, credentialing and onboarding of new faculty and CRNAs.
  • Assess, promote and discipline staff within the department.
  • Oversee all on call payments for attendings in the department
  • Responsible for maintaining all PDA accounts, My Time for the department, Concur reimbursement for all Physicians and CRNAs
  • Over see the process for Vendor payments via people soft and non vendor payments via request for Payment forms


  • Monitors the activity of the departments accounts. Reviews and performs monthly reconciliation of all financial statements.
  • Prepares department financial reports and analysis as requested by the Chair or Administrator.
  • Supervises the department administrative support staff, or delegate supervisory function where appropriate. Handles personnel issues including disciplinary and performance problems.
  • Oversees and approves all timekeeping electronically.
  • Works in collaboration with Practice managers and provides oversight for department outpatient office sites. Ensures proper templates, scheduling and supply management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred

5+ years in a leadership role in Healthcare environment
