GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

The Operations Supervisor (Assembly) is responsible for the safety, performance and direct supervision of hourly associates.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Accountability for the overall performance of a production shift.
  • Tactical execution of all department goals and strategies.
  • Responsible for meeting all company and department KPI's.
  • Responsible for ensuring corrective action to employees and ensuring that they are following all company rules and regulations.
  • Ensuring that all machinery and equipment run and remain operational.
  • Responsible for providing a safe and orderly workplace for all associates.
  • Ensuring execution of the production schedule for successful customer service.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Visual aptitude - must be able to see with or without correction.
  • Communication - ability to communicate verbally or non-verbally.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during a consecutive 12 hour period.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience in plastics processing, high speed assembly and lean manufacturing.
  • TQM, Team Building, self-directed work force experience preferred.
  • Experience in maintaining safety programs and developing ergonomic solutions.
