Responsibilities

Provides coverage for the front desk and phone lines as required. Handles initial inquiries, directs students to appropriate offices, ensures students complete the appropriate in-take form, and is responsible for entering student information into the IMS database. Assists each advisor with collation and printing of materials needed for advising sessions or meetings.

Maintains a welcoming and friendly environment for students.

Maintains adequate supplies for all advisors.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to perform accurately in a detail oriented environment.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to utilize problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments accurately and simultaneously in a detail oriented environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with staff, faculty, and students.
  • Experience demonstrating effective customer service skills by communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with applicable computer software and operating systems to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience working in an office to include maintaining accurate records and retrieving files from active/archive sources.

Anticipated Salary Range

$12.00 hourly.
