Job Summary:

This individual will interface between engineering, site acquisition, government affairs, and fiber construction crews. External coordination with city and county jurisdictions, and utility companies is also required. Typical duties include general administrative tasks such as workflow management, file management, project scheduling, work order generation and permit procurement. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to learn quickly are necessary. Provides weekly progress updates to management as necessary.

Essential Functions:

  • Consistent work in Excel, SiteTracker, or SmartSheet project management software/database.
  • Research ROW or other permit requirements and apply for permits.
  • Work with utilities on joint-use pole attachment permit progress.
  • Review construction drawings and closeout packages as needed.
  • Facilitate weekly status meetings to capture overall project status and potential jeopardies.
  • Coordinate with various inter-departmental teams and external contractors assigned to project.
  • Electronic and physical file management and upkeep.
  • Extensive data upkeep including updating project trackers and statuses of various tasks spanning multiple departments and projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Experience working in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience coordinating and facilitating data and communication between multiple departments
  • Experience using project management software such as SiteTracker or SmartSheet is highly desired

  • Working conditions primarily inside an office environment
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Physical Demands:

  • The employee may be occasionally required to lift and/or move equipment and materials up to 20 lbs.
  • This position may involve occasionally operating a motor-vehicle, which may require assuming a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Stationary position for 8-10 hours a day
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment.
  • To perform this job successfully, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position. Daily movements include sitting, standing, operating computers and other office equipment and moving about the office. The employee must be able to communicate via email and verbally via telephone.
