Job Summary: Be experienced or willing to be trained in the assessment and treatment ofoutpatient psychiatric and addiction patients on an academic service. Teachtrainees diagnosis, psychotherapy and medication management of outpatients.Work in diverse environments with people of different backgrounds. Must be astrong communicator and able to develop an effective partnership withproviders, staff and all stakeholders, regardless of their cultural, ethnic, andracial backgrounds. Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered Psychiatric NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have Master's Degree, NPI number, DEA certification, medical malpractice insurance and be Medicare enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN). Eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP orANCC prior to hire. Eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA prior to hire. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
