Job Overview

TheOvernight General Maintenance Mid-Level Engineer B isprimarily responsible for general maintenance of the facility's participant rooms and public areas. This role is anidealposition for a motivated individual looking to learn and grow within the Engineering field.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and back of house areas.
• Troubleshoot equipment, perform necessary repairs, and maintain a daily record usingHotSOS
• Respond to guest calls and colleague work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment.
• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry.
• Conduct inspections for preventative maintenance needs.
• Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
• Assist with the patrolling of the interior and perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions.
• Respond to emergency situations including safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property.
• Promote safe work practices.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Engineering and department managers

Wage Information:

The salary range for this position is $24.00 to $31.20.Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education.

Overnight premium of $2.00/hr paid for shifts starting at 10:00pm and time worked through 8:00am.

Qualifications:
Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
• Higher level of training preferred.
• Ability to follow all safety procedures/standards are able to recognize and act in emergency situations.

Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years previous maintenance experience required, preferably in a hotel.

Work Environment:

• Availability to work overnight
• Ability to work a full shift (8 hours) walking and standing.
• OSHA laws require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health safety. Proper clothing and safety equipment (gloves, safety shoes, back belt etc.) must be worn. Colleagues will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. The hotel requires the required PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damages or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your supervisor/manager.
• Flexibility to respond to a variety of different work situations.
• Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
• Crouching, stopping, twisting, reaching, extension, fingering/feeling, lifting.
