Packaging Engineer

Summary
Beats Engineering is looking for a Senior Packaging Engineer to join the Beats Packaging team. This engineer will be responsible for the exploration and implementation of new and innovative packaging designs for Beats NPI products. The position will span from concept generation to detailed design, analysis and testing throughout a full product development lifecycle. The position will require close cooperation with cross-functional stakeholders throughout Beats, and collaboration across multiple teams. In addition, the job will require interaction with suppliers and periodic travel to sites both within and outside of the USA. Apply today!



Description
Developing initial packaging design layouts and structures. Supporting supplier sourcing and validation of packaging materials. Prototyping packaging samples to prove function, manufacturability, and robustness. Design and validate multi and single pack shipping cartons. Create test plans, execute reliability testing as well as analyzing data from builds. Support environmental initiatives and logistics activities. Perform tolerance analyses and set cosmetic specifications. Detailed design and 2D documentation of all parts and assemblies. Interacting with vendors to develop manufacturing processes and tooling concepts. Travel to support build activities including finding root cause for failures and solutions for issues that impede build progress.
