Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam (CAPE): Applicants who do not have 48 or more eligible units of college-level coursework, will be invited to take the Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam (CAPE). There is a fee of $8 for the exam. Candidates must attach a copy of a U.S. High School Diploma, U.S. High School Transcript, GED, or Foreign Equivalency Certificate to the online application to be admitted to the exam. Eligible List and Substitute Pool: Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications and requirements of the position will be placed on an Eligible List for a period of 12 months. The Eligible List will be used to fill vacancies at various sites. Additionally, qualified candidates will be invited to be processed for placement on the Substitute Pool for this position.
