Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Pediatric Surgery, is seeking part-time Clinical Associates at 30% effort for terms of up to six-months. Appointees will contribute pediatric inpatient consultations and trauma call coverage responsibilities to support and complement the faculty in Pediatric Surgery at Comer Children’s Hospital and affiliated offsite locations. These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation is paid per clinic and does not include benefits.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board-certified or Board-eligible by the American Board of Surgery (or equivalent) in Pediatric Surgery, and 4) have completed an accredited fellowship and/or equivalent training in Pediatric Surgery.
We especially welcome applicants who, in addition to satisfying these requirements, are Board-certified or Board-eligible in Surgical Critical Care, or eligible for fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care.
