Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

The Kennesaw State University (KSU) Department of Construction Management offers Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Construction Management, a Minor and four undergraduate Certificate Programs. Housed within the College of Architecture and Construction Management, the Department of Construction Management helps students understand the importance of working in collaboration with Architects and other design professionals.

KSU is located in metro Atlanta, which is the major air and rail hub for the southeastern United States. Atlanta is the center of the largest construction market in the region and provides excellent internship opportunities for students who prefer to earn while they learn. The Department of Construction Management has an excellent career placement program for students and a decades-long reputation for preparing tomorrow's industry leaders. From infrastructure, commercial and industrial construction, and residential construction to land development, specialty (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction, and facilities management, students get the kind of preparation needed for success!

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in the Department of Construction Management for the academic year 2024-2025. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

The department seeks candidates who strive for excellence in teaching. The successful candidate is expected to teach a broad range of courses in construction management at both graduate and undergraduate levels. We are especially interested in candidates with teaching background in, but not limited to, construction materials and methods, construction graphics, temporary structures, computer applications, project management, estimating and scheduling. Other responsibilities may include:
  • Student advising and supervision

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

To teach undergraduate courses:
  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Construction Management or a closely related discipline is required.

To teach graduate courses:
  • A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Construction Management or a closely related discipline is required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • U.S. construction management experience
  • Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
  • CCM Certification, Professional Licensure (e.g., PE, AIA, NCARB), and/or OSHA Authorized Trainer
