Brightpoint Community College invites applications for a Part-Time Lab Assistant to provide assistance to Early Childhood and Education faculty and college students, and to maintain the Education Lab at Brightpoint Community College, Chester campus location. The education lab houses materials for students enrolled in the Early Childhood and Education programs to utilize in their class projects and assignments. The person in this position is responsible for providing laboratory support to full- and part-time faculty and students, assisting the early childhood and education fulltime faculty in ordering lab materials, classroom setup, and event planning, and performing duties using safe practices. The person in this position should have the ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include days, evenings, and/or weekends. This part-time, grant-funded position will not exceed 10 hours a week.

Minimum Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to work independently and utilize good organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with a diverse population of faculty and staff. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer with current software programs. Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood and teacher education instructional practices and educational materials. Successful completion and passing of criminal background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Early Childhood Education, Teacher Education, or Secondary Teacher Education coursework.
