This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Job Summary
The Center for Rural Engagement multimedia design intern will use print and digital media to tell the story of rural Indiana and IU's collaboration with communities in the region.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Creates original written stories and features that capture campus and community initiatives.
- Composes written and visual content into web-based story features.
- Conducts background information gathering, photography and videography, and interviews of story subjects, which may involve in-state travel.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Required
- Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University
Required
- Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University
Required
- Knowledge of graphic design concepts and best practices
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability and enthusiasm to work on a team
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Highly thorough and dependable
- Ability to problem solve
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, digital photography/videography and project management systems
