Part-Time Tech Support Specialist

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Part-Time Tech Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support at our Plainfield, Indiana location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support and infrastructure, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. This role involves a variety of technical tasks, from network maintenance to user support.

Core Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain regional/office networks, including WAN/LAN/Voice solution design, network equipment configurations, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Manage IT infrastructure items, such as server room facilities, structured cabling systems, UPS, door access control/CCTV, video conferencing, and air conditioning.
• Provide onsite support for user desktops/laptops, scanners, and printers, resolving technical issues promptly.
• Install and remove server racks, including labeling and provisioning power, LAN, and SAN connections.
• Monitor and perform scheduled inspections of facilities systems and server systems, escalating issues as required.
• Act as part of the corporate IT team to resolve local IT issues, following corporate IT standards and guidelines.
• Maintain the local inventory of IT equipment.
• Perform other duties as required to support evolving business deliverables.

• Availability to be on call 24/7 in case of emergencies.

• Ability to apply common sense and follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Self-starter attitude with the ability to solve issues urgently and with minimal guidance.
• Physical capability to meet demands such as standing, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• 3+ years of related work experience.
