Summary
Monitoring the workflow of the Patient Access department and PBX areas, handling quality assurance of all works performed by Patient Access Representatives, reviewing work performance, training and coaching admitting staff, developing and maintaining admission and customer service standard procedures, performing employee evaluation and serving as liaison between admissions and billing/collection department. Works with all departments in hospital to ensure Patient Access provides quality information at time of registration.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma - AA preferred.
- 3+ years of the admitting supervisor experience in a hospital setting.
- Extensive knowledge in the full capitation contract/ eligibility, share risk and the division of the financial / authorization responsibility between hospital, IPA and health plan.
- Knowledgeable in Medicare, Medi-Cal, Managed Care, Workers Compensations, Government Insurance, HIPPA, ABN, MSP, and other relevant Federal and State regulations related to admitting processes, obtainment of authorization and billing requirements.
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology.
- Aptitude working in multiple patient registration/accounting systems
- Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power-Point
- Typing 40-50 WPM.
- BCLS required.
- Knowledge of the Medicare, Medi-Cal, Managed Care, Workers Compensations, Government Insurance, HIPPA, ABN, MSP, and other relevant Federal and State regulations related to Admitting and Billing
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work ambiguously in fast-paced environment.
