Patient Access Specialist

This role plays a critical part in ensuring a seamless experience for patients as they begin their healthcare journey. Being onsite means you'll be at the heart of patient care, collaborating directly with hospital staff and patients. You'll have the chance to build face-to-face relationships, provide immediate assistance and contribute directly to the patient experience. Working onsite also allows for stronger team collaboration, quick problem-solving and a more hands-on approach to your daily tasks, offering you valuable exposure to the healthcare environment.

Patient Access Specialist Responsibilities:

• Greet and register patients for various hospital services, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete
• Verify insurance coverage and collect co-pays or payments as necessary
• Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up calls
• Answer patient inquiries, providing clear and helpful information regarding hospital procedures, billing and insurance
• Collaborate with hospital staff and departments to ensure smooth patient flow and communication

Patient Access Specialist Requirements:

• Experience in a customer service or patient-facing role, preferably in healthcare
• Familiarity with medical insurance verification and hospital systems is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
