Piper Health & Sciences is seeking entry-level Patient Care Coordinators to provide direct educational support and care accessibility to patients at a biomedical research company in the Raleigh, NC area. This role aims to address and eliminate any non-clinical barriers regarding treatment.

Responsibilities for the Patient Care Coordinator include:
• Provide individualized case management services for patients, facilitating communication between patients, healthcare providers (HCPs), and customers.
• Establish strong rapport with patients and healthcare providers through active communication and dedication to improving patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with Access & Affordability team to manage patient reimbursement support, benefits investigations, prior authorization, and financial assistance eligibility.
• Identify and discuss potential barriers to patient care access to determine ways to improve care accessibility.
• Operate under and adhere to strict compliance with the organization's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory/federal guidelines, and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications for the Patient Care Coordinator include:
• Associate's Degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or similar field with 4+ years of healthcare customer service or compassionate care experience, OR a Bachelor's degree In Life Sciences, Healthcare, or similar field with 2+ years of healthcare customer service or compassionate care experience.
• Experience working within a CRM database (Health Cloud, Salesforce, etc.) is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with patients, healthcare providers, and cross-functional teams.
• Empathic and compassion-driven work ethic with a commitment to providing the best possible patient support.

Compensation for the Patient Care Coordinator includes:
• Salary Range: approximately $62,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
