Job Summary

Under direct supervision from RN, provides direct patient care by performing delegated procedures of specialized and technical nature including; setting up and maintaining specialized clinical equipment, collecting specimens, complex dressing changes, and other delegated nursing procedures. 11 west is a 32 bed unit that provides care to patients aged infant through adult with Congenital Heart Defects. This position's main focus will be assisting with the care of patients under the delegation of registered Nurses.

Note: This is a 40 hour night shift position working a combination of 8hr and 12hr shifts with occasional weekends and alternating holidays.

Required Qualifications*
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, ability to read, write, and one of the following:
    • 6 months experience in skilled long-term facility/acute care hospital OR
    • Enrolled in a nursing program and have completed fundamentals of nursing courses OR
    • 1 year experience short-term care facility (i.e rehab) OR
    • Completion of a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Program

Must be able to perform a wide range of physical activities which include moving, transporting and positioning patients and equipment as well as constantly positioning self to provide patient care and related duties.
