Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Admin Manager Associate for our Food Services department. This role involves overseeing the operations of our hospital kitchen and Meals on Wheels food production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for providing outstanding meals and service to hospital patients.

Responsibilities*

Operations
  • Oversees the work of Food Service Managers and Food Service Intermediate Supervisors within the hospital kitchen
  • Develops and manages foodservice related HR functions for recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development of staff
  • Manages food safety compliance and enforces Food Code regulations for food purchasing, preparation, service, storage, sanitation, safety, and security within the hospital kitchen
  • Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability and cost controls in the foodservice operations, generates plans for changes and puts them into practice

Meals on Wheels
  • Oversees of the Meals on Wheels food production operation
  • Creates and implement menus, maintains documentation and practices in accordance with regulatory guidelines
  • Reviews and analyzes financial reports to manage costs within the current budget
  • Develops and implements waste reduction and sustainability strategies

Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, food service administration, or related fields granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a high volume, complex food service operation with at least 1-2 years of experience in an institutional or high-volume restaurant or foodservice operation
  • Knowledge of the FDA Food Code and experience managing kitchen operations using safe food handling, sanitation and safety practices
  • ServSafe Manager certification within the last 5 years, or receipt of certification within 90 days of hire

Desired Qualifications*
  • Master's degree in nutrition, dietetics, business administration, health care administration, or related fields
  • Registered Dietitian Nutrition (RDN) certification through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Working knowledge and understanding of departmental and institutional policy and procedures
  • Experience developing and managing menus.
  • Understanding of Meals on Wheels guidelines for menu planning

Background Screening
