Broad Function:

Responsible for transporting patients to and from the Radiology Department. Performs duties involving the operation of equipment necessary; assists on other non-technical departmental duties.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for transport of patients to and from the department for their x-ray examinations.

2. Assists physicians/others in locating x-rays and/or reports.

3. Oversees basic office functions for defined periods as needed. Scheduling call reports.

4. Assists in filing of reports and films.

5. Answers the telephone and deals with all telephone requests as appropriate.

6. Assists in non-technical duties in the department such as burn/import CD's, and clerical duties as designated by the Director.

7. Possess high ethical standards with respect to discretion and regard for confidentiality.

8. Works with Director on specific projects and/or reports as assigned.

9. Participates in inter-departmental, hospital and/or community programs as assigned.

10. Utilizes the principles of Total Quality.

11. Demonstrates age specific competencies as per department standards.

12. Demonstrates clinical and technical competencies as per department standards.

13. Moves and/or lifts patients using good body mechanics.

14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a health care setting preferable.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Must be CPR certified.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.76 - $20.18 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
