Payroll Specialist Intro: We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our lifescience client's dynamic team. This intermediate-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to enhance your payroll management skills in a supportive and flexible work environment. The role involves crucial responsibilities such as processing payroll, ensuring compliance with laws and company policies, and handling payroll inquiries. This position is perfect for individuals who excel in problem-solving, possess strong communication skills, and value teamwork. This role starts as a four month contract with possible extensions.

Payroll Specialist Job Details: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing the entire payroll process for our employees using UKG HRIS on a biweekly cadence. Key tasks include accurately reviewing and verifying timekeeping records for both exempt and non-exempt employees, calculating and processing adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll-related payments. The role also involves generating necessary payroll reports for management and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, the specialist will respond to employee payroll inquiries and collaborate with the HR and finance teams to maintain accurate record-keeping and reporting. The role may also involve assisting with various payroll-related projects and initiatives.

Payroll Specialist Mandatory Skills: - Proficiency in using UKG HRIS for payroll processing.
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulations.
- Ability to accurately calculate and process payroll adjustments, bonuses, and other payments.
- Competence in generating detailed payroll reports and handling sensitive information discreetly.
