1.0 Summary of Job Purpose:

The Payroll Tax Specialist will be responsible for general payroll tax task, as well as responding to internal and external clients and agencies to ensure compliance. Perform all duties in accordance with Safran USA, Inc. policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.

2.0 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the Senior Payroll Tax Analyst in the development of processes and procedures.
• Research laws and regulations regarding tax and payroll withholding procedures.
• Maintain current knowledge of tax laws affecting company/employees.
• Research and resolve all tax concerns as assigned.
• Respond and resolve assigned employee payroll tax concerns.
• Maintained tax rates and/or deposit frequency changes into payroll system, and resolution of discrepancy notices issued by tax authorities.
• Apply for new state and local tax accounts with the applicable agency.
• Setup new state and local taxing jurisdictions in the payroll system and with our third party vendor.
• Assist with payroll tax projects and processes
• Run established queries and reports.
• Assist Payroll Tax Team
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ensure all deliverables are on time and accurate.

Candidate skills & requirements
4.0 Required Competencies; Education / Knowledge / Skills and Abilities:

• 1-3 years of payroll tax experience
• 1-3 years customer service experience is a plus
• 1-3 years of experience in payroll systems, preferably with ADP Vantage
• Strong prioritization skills
• High level of collaboration
• Proven effectiveness at delivering outstanding results
• Drives results by building high-trust relationships at all levels
• Navigates the organization and understands the complexity of a global services group
• Strong communication skills to both a technical and non-technical audience
• Flexibility to handle changing work demands
• Demonstrate a passion for and understanding of process and technology
• Intermediate Level - Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment
• High school diploma or equivalent

5.0 Physical Requirements:

• Office environment
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
