Job Description

SHAREOK Assistant

The University of Oklahoma Libraries seeks to recruit a SHAREOK™ Assistant in the Digital Strategies and Innovation Division. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Digital Strategies and Innovation, this role will liaison between the University Libraries' and SHAREOK™ repository stakeholders, performing administrative and some business analyst tasks related to the repository.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Performs administrative tasks related to the SHAREOK platform and service, such as creating agendas, taking meeting notes, drafting committee charters, etc.
  • Performs file and document management in a variety of content management systems.
  • Performs environmental scans to assist with bringing SHAREOK in alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Performs research to bring SHAREOK™ into alignment with industry standards and best practices for the repository in collaboration with partner institutions.
  • Creates SHAREOK product and use workflow documentation and assists with user testing.
  • Liaises with Graduate College and answer queries about SHAREOK workflows.


Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor's degree, AND:
  • 36 months in an administrative role.

Equivalency Substitution: Will accept 48 months experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months experience.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in product documentation
  • Technology proficiency and capabilities working with library-relevant information technology applications
  • Experience applying project management principles and using project management software and applications

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with end-users at varying technological skill levels.
  • Experience building and sustaining effective interpersonal relationships
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of applications, such as Microsoft Outlook Calendar for scheduling meetings.
  • Experience in policy development or product documentation .
  • Technology proficiency and capabilities working with library-relevant information technology applications.
  • Ability to preform administrative tasks efficiently, such as creating agendas and note taking
