The Peer Recovery Support Coordinator is a skilled team player with a strong background in working with the surrounding community.   • Represent the organization in a quality control and quality improvement capacity.
  • Provides administrative task assistance to program manager and peers.
  • Administrative task assistance focuses on organizational efficiency, with all necessary attention on performance measures, required tasks, and urgent deadlines.
  • Coordinates Peer Support Specialist schedules including on-call scheduling.
  • Works to increase cultural sensitivity, awareness, and competency regarding Person-Centered and Peer Recovery Support Services.
  • Provide consumer progress/updates to the supervisor at scheduled intervals.
  • Attended required staff meetings and scheduled training.
  • Submits complete and accurate required paperwork and documentation within established timeframes.
  • Maintain project logs, reports, and records in appropriate files and database(s).
  • Checks agency email twice (2) daily during scheduled shifts for updates and responds appropriately if they pertain to you or your staff.
  • Respond to consults, call-outs, and other emergencies as needed.
  • Develop ideas and implement new principles for the program.
  • Follow organizational policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Collaborates with management to ensure all protocols are being followed.
  • Assists with referral linkage to other services and community resources.
  • Other duties as directed by the Program Director.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • This person must have at least two years of current, sustained recovery
  • Must be a Certified Recovery Coach.
  • Knowledge of the drug and alcohol treatment system and demonstrated commitment to the recovery community.
  • Knowledge and respect for pathways of recovery and Trauma-Informed Recovery Oriented Systems of Care model.
  • Knowledge of basic crisis intervention, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and recovery techniques preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver's License and have reliable transportation.
  • Experience with justice involvement preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, local/statewide recovery communities and resources.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office (minimally email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), database and maintenance (preferred).
  • Strong cultural literacy (bi-lingual preferred yet not expected).
