The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, particularly in personal injury cases, and experience managing the full spectrum of casework from discovery through trial preparation. Salary Range: $28 - $35 / hour DOE

Personal Injury Legal Assistant Requirements:
  • 5+ years of civil litigation experience, with a strong preference for PI, Med-Mal, or any injury law background
  • Proficiency in discovery processes and experience in handling complex legal documentation
  • Familiarity with MS Office and Litify case management system
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to community engagement

Personal Injury Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and case management orders
  • Schedule and prepare for depositions, mediations, and trials, coordinating logistics such as notices and hiring court reporters/videographers
  • Obtain, organize, and maintain client medical records, imaging, bills, and other critical case materials
  • E-file legal documents in Illinois State and Federal Courts
  • Communicate effectively with opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and clients
  • Provide support during legal proceedings, ensuring all case schedules and deadlines are met
