About Us:
Hometown Pharmacy is an independent pharmacy group of 53 pharmacies in Wisconsin and employs around 600 people. We have been caring for our patients and connecting with our communities since 2003.
Our pharmacies do not simply fill prescriptions. Our pharmacists and staff are committed and passionate about continuing education and patient health. Not only do we educate our patients about their health and wellness options, but we also empower both our employees and patients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
Because of this commitment, we take time with our patients to discuss how they feel and educate them about health issues, products, health-related current events, and offer options in their own healthcare.
We believe in functional health and collaborate with some of the best healthcare professionals across the country to better serve our patients' wellness needs. We believe this is the evolution of the practice of medicine and is the future of healthcare.
What we'll do for you:
We will provide a collaborative, educational, highly productive, and supportive work environment. You will be treated with respect and become part of our Hometown family. You will work with us, not for us. We want to help you achieve your goals, while you help us achieve ours. We have a professional, family-oriented culture with opportunities for advancement and partnership.
We have you covered with health, dental, FSA, 401K, a 25% store discount, and group aflac options. As well as 15 PTO days to start. We believe in proactive health and wellness not only for our customers but for you as well. Because we are family-oriented we believe you should spend time with your family. Most importantly you will work with the pharmacy team to learn and understand patient care services including providing excellent customer service. Organically you will build relationships with regular customers and enjoy interactions with them. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn about commonly prescribed drugs, brand/generic equivalents, therapeutic classes, general health, wellness, and nutraceuticals.
Your qualification:
You have a high school diploma or GED and one year of pharmacy experience or training as a technician (preferred). Physical requirements require pharmacy technicians to stand for the duration of your shift and be able to lift and carry up to twenty pounds.
You may also qualify with your previous retail experience. Retail work and helping customers is your wheelhouse. You love providing excellent customer service face to face and by phone. Teamwork is in your blood and you are excited to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on getting patients healthier while assisting the pharmacist in educating them on non-prescription-based healthcare products.
If this sounds up your alley, then apply today! We need you to help our independent pharmacies succeed and deliver top-notch health and wellness care to our patients. If you find this job description exciting, fascinating, and captivating, then you are the person we are looking for.
