Regional Pharmacy Technician

The Regional Pharmacy Technician assists technicians and licensed pharmacists in pharmacy operations in a dedicated region. General duties include greeting and assisting customers in person and over the phone, entering and filling prescriptions, working with pharmacists on MTM's and CMR patient profile cleanup, scheduling, and cleaning and maintaining the pharmacy department.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Accurately and timely input patient data and medication orders
• Count, label, and package prescription drugs and supplies
• Submit prescriptions for third-party billing and learn how to troubleshoot
• Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining the inventory of prescription medications, over-the-counter items, and necessary supplies
• Perform general cleaning and store maintenance: filing paperwork, stocking items, keeping the store clean and professional-looking
• Work with the pharmacy team to learn and understand patient care services
• Provide excellent customer service: greet and assist customers in person and via phone, build relationships with customers
• Have proficient knowledge of commonly prescribed drugs, brand/generic equivalents, and therapeutic classes
• Works with peer regional pharmacists to coordinate and complete CMRs/MTMs, TIPs for patients in assigned stores at least 1 day per week.
• Communicate with the pharmacy when working on TIPs, Outcomes, EQUIPP
• Learn about over-the-counter and front-end departments; basic register functions
