This Pharmacy Technician will join an independent pharmacy in the Mount Pleasant, SC area. This person will be working in the compounding lab. Although compounding experience is not needed and training will be provided, this technician should have an interest in compounding and be willing to grow in this area of pharmaceutical work. Past experience working in a pharmacy in general is necessary.
- Logs should be completed each day, quarter, and year based on Standard Operating Procedures
- Lab should be kept clean and free of trash or debris
- Label and compound prescriptions with accuracy using the integrated balance to software system and Standard Operating Procedures
- Communicate with patients regarding compounded prescriptions
- Assist the pharmacy staff outside the compounding lab when needed
- Assist with managing compounding inventory
- Have a base knowledge of compounding calculations
- Consistently follow all formulas for compounding
- Assist in answering the phone
- Prescriptions filled accurately, quality assurance procedures followed
- Keep up-to-date on any regulatory or legal changes within the pharmacy

Schedule:
- Store is open 8:30AM - 6:00PM
- Monday to Friday with shorter Saturday hours rotating as needed

Pay range will vary based upon relevant experience level between a range of $20-$25 per hour with benefits available as well.

Required Skills & Experience
- 1-2+ years working in a pharmacy setting
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT, PTCB)
- Interest in compounding and lab work (experience in this area is highly preferred)
- Very strong communication skills and outgoing personality to be customer/patient-facing
- Ability to commit to fulltime schedule
- Intent to have pharmacy tech work as a long-term career

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Sterile compounding lab tech experience
- Experience using PioneerRX
- Experience working in an independent pharmacy
