Description

Position Summary:

Specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions and diseases of the heart and blood vesselsusing nonsurgical, catheter-based procedures and specialized imaging techniques. Use of diagnostic techniques, technical procedures and medications to treat abnormalities that impair the function of the cardiovascular system.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Significant standing, sitting, bending. Excellent manual dexterity related to providing treatment and surgery when necessary. Long and irregular hours in both an office setting as well as a hospital setting. Schedule consisting of day shifts and participating in a call rotation with equitable parts STEMI and Cardiology call.

Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have a valid, current and unrestricted SC medical license
• Must have current state and federal controlled substance licenses
• ACLS certification preferred (American Heart Association)

Education and Experience:

• M.D. or D.O. required
• Must have successfully completed an Interventional Cardiology specialty fellowship program
• Certification by The American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiology and/or a sub specialty of Interventional Cardiology.
