The Embassy Suites by Hilton Richmond is seeking a p.m. Guest Services Agent with a flair for hospitality.

A Guest Service Agent is responsible for selling rooms and registering and assisting guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. This position will primarily work during the 3 to 11 p.m. second shift but mid-day or morning shifts are possible on occasion for those wishing to work more hours. Full-time or part-time positions are available depending on the candidates.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Richmond is owned and operated by Shamin Hotels, Central Virginia's largest hotel management company. Having tripled in size to 70 hotels over the past ten years, we own and operate hotels under the Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, InterContinental and Choice flags.

General Requirements:
  • Must have a warm personality, be a team player and have a desire to provide excellent guest service.
  • Availability to work evening shifts as well as weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Previous hotel, customer service or related experience is highly preferred.
  • A high school diploma is required and a 2-year or 4-year college degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Hilton OnQ is highly desirable.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and proficiency in the English language.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of guest interactions in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and internet platforms.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Efficient cash handling and basic accounting skills.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes adhering to the proper dress code when working.
  • Operate the hotel phone system in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Take ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guests.
  • Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings and special company events as requested.
