Duties & Responsibilities

  • Formulates the project stream/program management plan, in accordance with the scope, budget, timing and quality as set by stakeholders
  • Specifies the resourcing of the project, anticipated costs, risk assessment and quality standards to be used
  • Leads the project team in terms of quality, spend, time, information and organization, monitoring progress and managing all assigned project resources
  • Reports on issues and risks and will track or take ownership through resolution
  • Directs assigned project resources and gives them operational guidance, technically and organizationally
  • Responsible for project documentation, reporting out to senior management, as needed, and maintaining / updating PMO standard tools on a project-by-project level
  • Coaches and mentors Mid- Level and Junior Project Managers
  • May be responsible for the direct management of Junior Level Project Managers
  • Coaching and managing project team(s)


Minimum Qualifications

A Baccalaureate degree in mathematics, business administration, accounting or similar field,
plus five (5) years of full-time paid experience in data processing, three (3) years of which
shall have been in the capacity of a systems analyst and one (1) of which shall have been in a
lead or supervisory capacity; and
2. Broad knowledge of computer and communications hardware capabilities, programming
languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and
information retrieval technique; or
3. An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Department Preferences

Certification(S)/NYS Licenses/Education:
  • PMP Certification (recommended)
  • Certified Scrum Master (Nice to Have)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Requirements:
  • Project Management tools, i.e. MS project, Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio
  • Experience in a large healthcare setting
  • ServiceNow demand / project modules
