As our Post Surgical Acute Nurse at St. Joseph Health Bryan, you'll excel in your nursing career by caring for patients admitted to our unit. Most of your patients are funneled in from other units, allowing you to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency.

Responsibilities
- Track routine heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse ox levels
- Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation
- Quickly report and address any changes in condition
- Patiently and thoroughly explain tests results and procedures to patients and family members
- Educate patients on post-hospital care, including prescribed medicine, care maintenance, and prevention

Qualifications
Required Skills :
- Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma.
- One (1) or more years of nursing experience
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Texas
- BLS (AHA)
Preferred Skills :
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- One (1) or more years of experience in an Acute Care setting preferred
