Compensation:
Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in Pacific Palisades, California is $114,950-$171,820 USD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the validation and testing efforts for power electronics systems, ensuring compliance with UL1741SB and other relevant industry standards.
- Develop and execute validation plans, test cases, and procedures to evaluate the performance, safety, and reliability of power electronics products.
- Design and oversee experiments, simulations, and bench tests to assess power electronics system functionality and performance under various operating conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, firmware developers, and quality assurance teams, to address validation requirements.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues identified during testing and propose corrective actions to improve system performance and safety.
- Maintain detailed records of test results, findings, and validation reports, ensuring traceability and documentation of validation activities.
- Stay current with evolving industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to power electronics and power conversion systems.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power electronics system validation and testing.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of UL1741SB and relevant industry standards.
- Proficiency in simulation tools (e.g., PSpice, Simulink), data acquisition systems, and laboratory equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and documenting results.
- Familiarity with power electronics components such as inverters, converters, and controllers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues in a systematic manner.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers to facilitate production and testing processes.
- Ability to develop and implement a line sampling program for quality control.
