We are looking for a passionate, result-oriented, inventive, and influential Technical Program Manager to drive the Planning & Capacity for a new, scaling network. This is an opportunity to work in a startup like environment within Amazon and requires a leader who is motivated by a fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial environment.

The ideal candidate will be an innovative, seasoned technical leader with a demonstrated history in delivering results. This leader will have managed complex program spanning across multiple organizations and have ability to dive deep on customer experience, architecture, and technical details. Success in this role requires close collaboration with senior leaders/execs across Amazon and the ability to influence their technical architecture. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong business judgment, and ability to define visionary architecture.

Key job responsibilities

- Lead planning and capacity charter for Amazon Warehousing & Distribution (AWD).

- Lead critical initiatives that drive the size, shape and profitability of AWD - planning cycles (OP, 3YP, 10YP and QXG), sales planning (channels, seller ramp, profiling), network management (topology and gas tank management), and labor planning (S&OP).

- Play a critical role in the broad business planning, working closely with senior executives to develop business targets and resource requirements. Help form long-term technical and business strategy and goals.

- Understand business context to decisions made within and across groups.

- Work closely with product managers, engineers, scientist to architect and develop the best technical design and approach.

- Maintain a current understanding of industry and technology trends.

- Work with globally distributed team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 7+ years of technical program management experience

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
