TITLE: Principal Wireless Engineer I- Mobile Engineer
LOCATION: Greenwood Village, CO
JOB SUMMARY: Assist in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for network systems of high complexity. Design and establish protocol compatibility standards. Develop and implement network enhancements and make recommendations for improvement. Responsible for implementation of network architecture and designs. Coordinate Mobile Device Certification and communicate with major Mobile vendors, as well internally with different PMs. Participate in Mobile Device Feature and Requirements planning, applying good understanding of network architecture design and engineering. Integrate and schematically depict communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission, and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations that can be reflected to Mobile Features. Evaluate new Mobile Device products and handle problem reporting thru resolution. Assist in the development and documentation of Mobile device technical requirements based on standards. Design and establish Mobile Certification processes following 3GPP, WiFi Alliance and major US Carrier operators practices. Work on projects/systems/issues of medium to high complexity regarding network planning, configuration, and optimization. Provide escalated tier support across organizations and to third party vendors. Work on one or more projects as a project team member and as a project team lead. Coach less experienced staff.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; 5 years of experience testing mobile devices in a lab environment; with Mobile Validation process design using 3GPP standards, including, architecture, protocols, and debugging tools; and with mobile vendor management, including understanding of product requirements from vendors, communicating with OEM vendors, and introducing the requirements into R&D plans. 3 years of experience on related mobile communication technology specifications and standards, including 3GPP or WiFi Alliance.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $123,094 to $178,600. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
