The Privacy and Risk Management Administrator (PRMA) is responsible for the Privacy and Risk Management Program, and maintains current knowledge of applicable federal and state privacy laws and oversees internal privacy practices and procedures to ensure alignment between security, risk management, and privacy practices as part of the Department's Information Security Program. The PRMA develops, implements, and continually evaluates the Department's Privacy and Risk Management Program including the identification of risks and the implementation of risk minimization strategies; coordinating efforts between numerous entities, individuals and departments (both internal and external) to identify and minimize risk; provides education on risk management topics; participates in the development, implementation, and ongoing compliance monitoring of all business associate agreements to ensure all privacy concerns, requirements, and responsibilities are addressed, ensures delivery of privacy training and orientation to all employees, volunteers, and other network users as appropriate, and investigates, resolves, and reports details of all privacy related breaches to the Office of Information Security (OIS) within the California Department of Technology.

Working Conditions
During state and/or Department emergencies, incumbent may be required to work extended hours. Incumbent may also be required to travel occasionally to perform duties, attend meetings, training, and/or conferences.
