Qualifications
4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
Job Skills: Program Management
- Reports to the Manager of Problem Gambling Services as the Problem Gambling Services Program Specialist.
- Works with partners across the state to establish and modify services for problem gamblers.
- Develops measures to monitor effectiveness of problem gambling services.
- Administers and monitors problem gambling programs, research, and workforce initiatives.
- Handles non-routine administrative duties for the Problem Gambling program.
- Formulates and implements responsible gambling policies and procedures.
- Assists in coordinating the problem gambling hotline operations.
- Coordinates with other agencies on campaigns and protocol changes.
- Administers the Voluntary Exclusion Program (VEP):
- Enrolls and dis-enrolls applicants
- Communicates with VEP enrollees
- Maintains VEP database
- Submits information to gambling operators
- Works with OCCC Gaming Agents and Office Managers on local VEP processes
- Assists Legal and Enforcement divisions with VEP violations and confiscated winnings.
- Coordinates submission of statutorily required problem gambling plan.
- Works with Communications on quarterly responsible gambling newsletter.
