What You'll Do:
  • Reports to the Manager of Problem Gambling Services as the Problem Gambling Services Program Specialist.
  • Works with partners across the state to establish and modify services for problem gamblers.
  • Develops measures to monitor effectiveness of problem gambling services.
  • Administers and monitors problem gambling programs, research, and workforce initiatives.
  • Handles non-routine administrative duties for the Problem Gambling program.
  • Formulates and implements responsible gambling policies and procedures.
  • Assists in coordinating the problem gambling hotline operations.
  • Coordinates with other agencies on campaigns and protocol changes.
  • Administers the Voluntary Exclusion Program (VEP):
    • Enrolls and dis-enrolls applicants
    • Communicates with VEP enrollees
    • Maintains VEP database
    • Submits information to gambling operators
    • Works with OCCC Gaming Agents and Office Managers on local VEP processes
  • Assists Legal and Enforcement divisions with VEP violations and confiscated winnings.
  • Coordinates submission of statutorily required problem gambling plan.
  • Works with Communications on quarterly responsible gambling newsletter.

Qualifications

4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
